Lightroom Catalog Corrupt

I'm trying to use Lightroom Classic but every time I launch it, it says "The Lightroom Catalog "Lightroom Catalog" is corrupt and cannot be used until it is repaired." As it repairs, it crashes halfway through and doesn't do anything. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?

Hello, you asked the same question again, but did not say if you had tried starting up Lightroom Classic using  your most recent back up catalog? as we said, catalogs get corrupted which is why you always need back ups. The photos themselves are still where ever you stored them and are untouched. LR is a non destructive application.

Catalogs in LR are data bases, and yes they do get corrupted but infrequently. Before you toss that catalog, try copying over one from your back up catalogs. THen relaunch LR Classic and try opening the backup catalog. Hopefully your backup catalog is not so old that it is missing a ton of recent work.

In general it is recommended to have at least 3 copies of your catalog. One on the working computer, one on an external drive, and another one, either on another external or in the cloud.

I'm not entirely sure how to fix this. I recently uninstalled every Adobe app from my C drive to make more room and reinstalled it in another hard drive. When I did this, I started running into this error.

Two people have made suggestions on how to fix this. Please try them.

I doubt the existing catalog can be fixed or used. Restore a recent backup of your catalog file.
