Lightroom catalog error

Hello, 

My computer died with my hard drive plugged in. It will only open old catalogs but not my most recent. SOS!! Not sure what happened, if folder moved or what. I have restarted 3 times, and my updated my lightroom to and it still wont open.

Restoring a corrupt catalog from a hardware failure is extremely unlikely.

Your best option is to extract the most recent catalog backup from its ZIP file, move it to a more suitable working catalog folder, and re-open the (backup) catalog. (To re-open [Double-click] the .LRCAT file ).
