lightroom catalog problem

Hello, I’m trying to open an lrcat that has about 2000 photos, but no preview is available. When I try to import a series of photos they appear greyed out, Lightroom sees them already present, but without showing them. How to reset the catalog to reload previews? Thank you in advance!!

Lightroom will automatically render new previews, if it can do that. And that is most likely the problem. It needs access to the originals to render previews. If the originals are 'missing' for whatever reason, then it can't. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/lightroom-photos-missing-fix/
