I have tried the following and issue persists:

1. Restart computer / lightroom

2. Restore default lightroom settings / preferences

3. Uninstall lightroom CC, Restart PC, Install Lightroom CC, Restart PC

4. Update GPU driver

5. Disable GPU acceleration

6. Create new lightroom catalog

I am not sure where the error log file is located since there was a error prompt and it seemed to have uploaded to Adobe directly

Does the entire computer crash when you are importing photos? Or just Lightroom Classic?

By the way, there is no software named Lightroom CC, you are used software called Lightroom Classic.

Yes, I am referring to Lightroom Classic.

I've had both scenario happen to me. Usually only Lightroom Classic crashes, but I've encountered 2 instances of the PC reboot due to importing photos.

So I think there are two problems here, one that cuases LrC to crash and one that causes the PC to crash and/or reboot itself. Usually (but not always) different things lead to LrC crash vs PC crash.

If the PC crashes during import, the most likely cause is that your PC is getting too hot and overheating. This happens becuase your cooling system (fans and vents) has failed. There are other possible causes. YOu need to examine all the fans in your computer case to make sure they are spinning properly, and you need to vaccuum out all the dust in the computer case and in the airflow vents in the case.

The most likely cause of Lightroom Classic crashing but not the computer crashing is the your GPU is either very old, doesn't have enough memory, or has an old/outdate driver. Again, there are other possible causes.

What is your GPU make and model, and how much memory does it have?
