Hi all,

I'm getting an import error in Lightroom "Some import operations were not performed." + "Files cannot be opened in Lightroom. (93)" when I try to load some ARW files (Sony raw) in my Lightroom catalog.

Context :

I've extracted the *.ARW RAW files succesfully from my SD card reader through another RAW converter which I've been using successully (in addition to Lightroom) for a long time now.

Note : I can succesfully see these picture previews in this other RAW converter.

I want to import these *.ARW from their current location (F:\2018\2018-08-15\Raw selection\) and add these to my LR catalog.

When I select the folder and click on "Add", I do get the error messages mentioned above.

I've noticed in the Lightroom import window that the (new) pictures which I've selected aren't rendered (no preview/thumbnail) : could these symptoms be associated with the root cause ?

My OS is Win 10/64 bits (up-to-date).

Here's what I've checked/done so far :

- C (Catalog) and F (Raw Pics) drives space & health (-> chkdsk) : Ok.

- Folder/Disk permissions : Ok.

- Lightroom catalog health : Ok (don't get any error message when running backup before exit).

- I've already been able to import sucessfully some RAW files from this camera into my LR catalog (a few weeks ago).

- I've tried to run a different import through selecting "copy to DNG" but got the same result (Ko).

- I've tried to import another Raw file type (NEF) from a different folder into the folder F:\2018\2018-08-15\Raw selection\ and the import did work Ok.

Could this issue be due to my RAW file type support being suddenly broken ?

Many Thanks for your attention and your thoughts,

Best,

Al.

So you are using CC2015.14, and why have you not updated to Classic 7.4?

Error 93 is frequently noted with Activation problems. Are you signed-in to the Creative Cloud?

What is the Camera Model Number that creates the ARW files?

file type support being suddenly broken ?

Does this suggest you were successfully importing the ARW previously?

This, plus the error message, probably means your camera is too new for your Lightroom version. Please state the exact make and model of your camera. Please update your Lightroom to Lightroom Classic CC 7.4 (it's free if you have a license to CC 2015.14)

Hi aloja,

- Folder/Disk permissions : Ok.

Since you are adding images from the F drive and you have already checked the folder permissions. We would still suggest you to check the read & write permission to that specific folder, where the images are saved "F:\2018\2018-08-15\Raw selection\". You can move some of the images to the different location and try importing from there and let us know the results.

Regards,

Mohit

Thanks very much WobertC (+dj_paige), you've nailed it !

Actually, i had already this version (Classic 7.4) but, for some reason, the icon on Windows's tasbar was pointing towards an older installation source....
