Lightroom CC Classic 7.4...where did the develop presets go???

I just did a fresh install of Lightroom CC Classic 7.4 on a new machine. I copied my presets from another machine and brought them over to my new machine.

I open preferences and click Show Lightroom Presets Folder and drag and drop my presets where they belong.

Well, nothing shows up in Lightroom.

I restart lightroom and still nothing.

I've spent the last 45min trying everything I can Google to solve this and I can't.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Your presets are now supposed to be stored in:

Mac: Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / Settings /

Windows: C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ Settings \

So I looked there on my Mac and tried to drag some presets over.

Nothing happens.

I put a folder called ST PRESETS and it doesn't show up in Lightroom.

If I drag a single preset it doesn't show up either.

The only thing that works is importing them directly in Lightroom, which is unacceptable.

Also, I'm noticing my presets from my other machine end in .lrtemplate where as the new presets seem to be .xmp files.

Why is that and is that my problem?

LR 7.3 introduced a new format and capabilities for presets, and they now end in ".xmp" and are stored in the Camera Raw folder indicated previously in this thread: Re: Lightroom CC Classic 7.4...where did the develop presets go??? .

When LR 7.3 and later versions find old-format presets (ending in .lrtemplate) in the old location, it will convert the old-format presets to the .xmp format and store them in the new location.

So place one or more .lrtemplate files in the old location and restart LR.  It should automatically convert them to the new format in the new location. To find the old location, do Preferences > Presets > Show Lightroom Presets Folder to open Finder / File Explorer. The subfolder Develop Presets is the old location.
