Lightroom Classic 11 masking brush is freezing

On my Macbook Pro 2021 M1 the Lightroom Classic masking tool is keep on freezing. Specially when i work with the brush tool. After some time of using it, it starts lagging and it slows down significantly and it becomes unusuble. Then even if i just want to move to another picture it takes like 30 seconds till the new picture shows up. And when i want to restart the LRC it just freezes and i have to force quit it. Does anyone witnessed the same issue? Is there any solution for this problem? Thnx...

Sorry to hear you’re running into this! To help us investigate, could you please share a few more details?

  • Which macOS version are you running?

  • What version of Lightroom Classic are you using?

  • Are the photos stored locally or on an external drive/cloud?

  • Do you have GPU acceleration enabled (Preferences > Performance)?

  • Roughly how many images are in the catalog, and what file types are you working with (RAW, JPEG, etc.)?

 

This info will help narrow down the cause.
