Lightroom Classic (12.2.1) not Synching

Why is my Lightroom not syncing? I rebuilt the sync catalog numerous times, yet it just refused to sync any new images. I now have resorted to deleting all my synced data via the Lightroom web interface to start from scratch- but after a long wait, not even one image has synced. There are also no images shown in the sync activity panel.


How can I force it to sync and move on from all the images being marked as 'sync pending'?

Did you enable syncing for the 'new' catalog?

@Ian Lyons The OP does not say he's trying to sync a new catalog (just new images), although it's unclear what 'rebuilt' means. But indeed the first thing to check is if sync is not simply paused. It does sound that way. Another point is that new images (new images in Lightroom Classic that is) do not automatically sync. You have to add them to a synced collection or to 'All Synced Photographs'.

Thank you both for getting back, this is almost having me pull my hair out! I do have the start synching button on and it has the blue synching mark, thpugh it isn't spinning. I am trying to resync my collections that were synched before (though got stuck for days), not any newly imported photos. So yes, I do have many photos marked to sync, and in the 'all synced photos' folder'. They say sync with Lightroom pending when I click them.


As an experiment, I tried reinstalling Lightroom and loading a new catalogue. I imported one photo to sync there, and that one worked, which is the single synced photo marked there.

Then I reloaded my original catalogue and it asked me if I wanted to switch to syncing images from it, I responded 'yes'. But it's still stuck like before.

One point is that just before sync stopped working, my computer froze when I was optomising my catalogue. I then rebooted and it said my catalogue needed to be fixed, which I did. Everything is working fine with it except syncing. Is there something wrong with my main catalogue?
