Lightroom Classic - 12.5 & 12.4 - External editing to Photoshop 2023 (24.7) /Beta Not Working!?

Lightroom Classic - 12.5 /12.4
Photoshop 2023 - 24.7

 

External editing preferences are set to 8bit PSD - Adobe 1998 - Photosop 2023 (& the same for Photoshop Beta).

Also tried changing settings to TIFF but have the same issue below.

 

When you choose a Raw or Virtual image to edit in an external application ie Photoshop or Photoshop Beta.

It will open the application (if not already open) but NO image will display!?

However, PSDs or TIFFs already in Lightroom will open. It would seem the issue is in the first instance of Lightroom creating an external file for Photoshop...

 

How this has been missed in the last two releases is baffling.

Familiar & fed up with the tiresome workaround - Please get one of Adobe's finest on this for a fix.

    @CShubert  from the Photoshop forum kicked this back to me after discussion. I cannot reproduce your results on similar hardware. Hopefully one of our Community Experts can chime in that they can reproduce and fine tune the reproduction instructions.

    Thank you. I do currently have the latest Photoshop Beta installed - 25.0
    I can confirm the external edit issue.
