Lightroom Classic 12.5 questions

I have been using LR Classic CC but just downloaded LR Classic 12.5.  Now in my dock on Mac, the new LrC icon is there and all seems to be workinf fine, but the old Lr icon is still there with a question mark (?).  Does this mean that my catalog has now been transferred to the new LrC and the old can't locate the catalog? Can I just uninstall the old LrC CC program?
