Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 stops responding on launch on macOS. Rebooting macOS, force quitting LrC has not helped.

I’ve been using LrC for last year successfully. Issue first occurred around 10/10/24 when I was on vacation. Unable to get LrC to boot, I have been using Lr (cloud) since then but need to get back to LrC now.
Repro Steps
- Open Lightroom Classic from system tray using latest macOS.
- Splash screen shows for about 45 seconds, then goes away but no window is ever displayed.
- Right mouse clicking on LrC in system tray shows “application not responding”.
