Denoise does not seem to be working on monochrome DNG files and it was working a few weeks ago. I tried it on files that it had worked in the past and it does not work. When I try to use it, the enhanced preview is blank and then it tells me it not applied due to an unknown error (1).
Has anyone else seen this error? (It works on color DNG files)

Yes.
I found the location of the log files for Adobe Camera Raw. It's found here: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Logs
I saw some errors in the logs and thought about just reloading Adobe Camera Raw. I found instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
After I reloaded the subsystem I saw less errors in the logs and it worked just as it had in the past. Yea!!
A big thanks for your help. I still wish Adobe would address their support issues. I can't believe what put me/us through and the time wasted debugging their software!
