Lightroom Classic 14.3.1 Monochrome denoise not working

Denoise does not seem to be working on monochrome DNG files and it was working a few weeks ago. I tried it on files that it had worked in the past and it does not work. When I try to use it, the enhanced preview is blank and then it tells me it not applied due to an unknown error (1).

Has anyone else seen this error? (It works on color DNG files)

I upgraded to LrC 14.3.1 from LrC 13.4 two days ago and the Denoise function does not work on monochrome DNG files AND color DNG files. It was working perfectly fine in 13.4. My experience is exactly the same as yours: the enhanced preview is blank and then it tells me it was not applied due to an unknown error. Both Raw Details and Super Resolution appear to be working.

Reloading Camera Raw 17.3 cleared up my Denoise issue as well. Thanks for doing the digging and figuring this out, @geherman!

Upload a problem DNG to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive or similar free service and post the sharing link here. We can see if it the problem occurs on other installations -- if it doesn't, then the issue is specific to your installation.

It fails to work with any DNG file from Leica M11 Monochrome and Leica Q2 Monochrome. Both of these worked a week ago. I think it started with the install of 14.3.1.

I should add that it works on the color (M11) DNG files. This is specific to B&W>

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
