Bug Report: Lightroom Classic 14.5 / 14.5.1 — Library Previews Reset to RAW Until Forcing Refresh

System:

  • Windows 11 Pro (fresh install, fully updated)

  • Intel Core i7 (high-end, top 1% benchmarked system)

  • 128 GB RAM

  • Nvidia RTX 4070 (latest Studio driver tested, GPU acceleration on and off)

  • Multiple catalogs tested

  • Multiple monitors

Issue:
In the Library module, when clicking on older edited photos, Lightroom displays the original RAW image without any develop edits applied (crop, exposure, white balance, etc.). The edits are still intact in the History panel, and if I click a history state or switch to Develop, the photo instantly restores to the correct edited version.

This happens across multiple catalogs, even after:

  • Fresh Windows 11 install

  • Fresh Lightroom Classic install (14.5 and 14.5.1 tested)

  • GPU acceleration disabled

  • Camera Raw cache purged

  • Previews discarded and rebuilt

  • Monitor profiles reset to sRGB IEC61966-2.1

Workaround Discovered:

  • If I enable Grid view on Monitor 2 (secondary display), making Monitor 1 show Loupe view, Lightroom suddenly displays the edited versions correctly.

  • Switching back to Grid/Loupe on Monitor 1 afterward “unsticks” the Library previews — Lightroom then remembers how to display edits properly.

Summary:
This appears to be a Library preview pipeline bug introduced in 14.5 / 14.5.1. Develop renders correctly, and edits are never lost, but Library sometimes defaults to showing the base RAW until a monitor/view toggle forces a re-render.

Request:
Please confirm if Adobe is tracking this bug, and whether a fix is planned in 14.6.
