Since updating Lightroom to 8.0 (Windows 10)
I have been getting numerous crashes render me near zero productivity.

The app is unable to move photos within Lightroom. I have  to resort to using the explorer to move photos and synchronise the the folders to import the photos into the Catalog

I have the same problem, LR Classic 8.0 crashes when I start editing a photo.

I am now reinstalling LR 7.5 to see if I can get any work done ...

Please try to uninstall and reinstall LR.

Your data will be save while doing this.

You may also want to try if it helps to reset the preferences: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

Let us know if the issue persists.

Thanks ... Lightroom is behaving as expected after uninstall and reinstall. However a couple of times after moving folders/photos the app crashes. This update 8.0.1 is definitely unstable .. unlike revision 7 which i could leave it for days on end without exiting and crashing even when I put the laptop into sleep mode several times a day.

Observation.

I was not able to uninstall initially. Creative Cloud reported Lightroom is still running even though when I checked the Task Manager no Lightroom Classic process was left behind. I had to restart the computer to successfully uninstall and reinstall.

Previous Observation before I first posted this problem

I had observed that when Lightroom 8, did not start after crashing. Observed multiple instances of Lightroom Classic processes in the Task Manager. I was able to end task for all instances of Lightroom Classic processes but one and that too I had to restart the computer before i could get Lightroom to launch.

Due to previous crashes I decided to synchronise the folders of photos I had moved. I am encountering crashes (Lightroom 8 terminating) synchronising the folders.

Is there a way I can provide Adobe the number of times my Lightroom 8 crashes since.

Note: I am concluding Lightroom 8 is very buggy. Lightroom 7 had never crashed on me while synchronising folders/photos. The photos count I am doing is less than 3000, while I had done more than 10000 for each folder with Lightroom 7 on a regular basis without a single crash. A significant part of my Lightroom time is moving photos around. As my laptop only has 512gb SSD storage I regular move photos  and backing up mini-catalogs (with negatives) to external 4TB HDDs before I selectively cull and choose photos for processing into collections, dressing up and posting them.

My productivity with constant crashing had reduce my productivity very significantly.

How to I revert back to Lightroom 7 install?
