For the past two weeks Lightroom Classic 8.41will just up and quit in the middle of me editing.  I don't see any other software updates and have uninstalled it and reinstalled.  I thought it was my catalog and created a new one and it still crashes.  Anybody else having this problem?  I using MaC High Sierra 10.13.3

Another member with a MACBook Pro, 2016 w/touch, had a similar issue, took the computer into an Apple Store, they found the batteries were swelling, MAC in for repair.

    I don't have that problem.

Your problem is cause by a hardware problem. for some reason some piece of hardware in your system is making LR crash and close.

More than likely it is a RAM, hard drive or heat issue.

Found the problem.  I had to turn off  "Use Graphics Processor" in Preferences.  After doing this it doesn't quit anymore.

But you still have a hardware problem. Otherwise you should be able to use that option turned on.

It is more than likely a heat problem with the GPU. When LR is set to use the GPU it overheats and causes LR or the system to shut down.

Glad you got it working but you have just Masked the problem. All the best to you.
