Lightroom Classic 9.1 does not recognize memory card in mac or external hard drives

I have Lightroom V 9.1 and using the OS mojave .  I have not upgraded to Catelina yet.  Today lightroom does not recognize my external hard drive on Import.  It sees the nikon 750 memory card but does not see any photos.

Sorry that Lightroom Classic 9.1 is not recognizing your memory card or external drivers on Mac running Mojave OS.

Are you able to import files from your desktop? Would you mind restoring Lightroom Classic app preferences to default and let us know if the issue still persists?
