Lightroom Classic, Canon EOS R6 camera profile problem

Hi

I am using Lightroom Classic v 13.3 (subscription) and a Canon R6 Mk1. MacOS Ventura 13.6.7, M1 pro 2021.

When I import RAW files, it doesn't apply the correct camera profile - when I shoot with my EF 17-40 on my Canon EOS R6 Mk1 it correctly identifies the lens, but applies the profile from a Canon 1D Mk3.

I can't see how I can manually change this - the only options I get in the lens correction box under profile are either the Canon 1D Mk3 or the Adobe profile. And I can't see where this can be changed on import. Is there a way? Why is this happening?

How are you determining that? Adobe-supplied camera profiles don't include the camera model in their names.  A full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) would clarify what you're describing.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Tried changing global settings to camera settings rather than Adobe default - and tried doing this for specific camera, but did not work. There is no option to be able to force lightroom to assign a specific camera model to the imported file - you can only choose adobe default or camera settings (or a preset) - but it still relies on lightroom to interpret the EXIF data.

The RAW file EXIF data is correct - it shows the camera model as Canon EOS R6 - but lightroom does not seem to be recognising this. 

Lightroom/Camera RAW/Mac/camera all have latest updates applied.

Any further ideas?
