Over the years I have been dragging raws out of lightroom for storage after editing. For some reason I'm not able to do that after an event I just came from. All the files are (found) in my library there aren't any missing. I cant find the reason its not working, please help!

I usually drag them to a folder on desktop or hardrive but won't work.

Yes this is fully for organizational purposes! I do this outside of LRC folder. So basically the movement is into a folder on a SSD drive - which end up getting moved to my companies server.

I select all and drag them out of lightroom to a folder

Do you accomplish this in LrC within the Folder panel. or outside of LrC in MACOS Finder?

You do realize that those original photos are not stored in the catalog, correct?  So you are just doing this for organization, not for controlling catalog size, correct?

My process is importing and editing in Lightroom classic, exporting the edits. After that I select all and drag them out of lightroom to a folder (which puts all raw files from lightroom (non edited and full sized) into a folder. I keep them if i ever need to resize or change an edit.

I reached out to a friend and learned it was a sync issue that was fixed upon restarting laptop. So its solved!

Good to hear that your problem is solved.

But just an idea. Why don't you make things easier for yourself by making a backup on an appropriate drive during import.

More infos see here: How to specify import options in Lightroom Classic

Please describe more detailed what you're exactly try to do. What do you mean with 'dragging out'?

One possibility would be missing access rights.
