I am currently working with Lightroom Classic on a PC but think I may buy an Apple Mac. I sent my current catalog to my wife's Mac to see if I liked it but the message came back that the file was too new to use on the Lightroom that was on her Mac. Will I have this issue if I buy myself a Mac?
The issue has nothing to do with Windows or Mac. The issue is that one computer (your Windows computer) has a newer version of Lightroom Classic than the other computer. If both computers have the same version of Lightroom Classic, you won't have this problem.
Regarding Windows vs Mac ... Lightroom runs pretty much the same on both. Hardware makes a big difference. Some computers (both Windows and Mac) are underpowered.
