Question

Lightroom Classic CC doesn't launch

Hi all,

I have a problem with Lightroom Classic CC app. LR gets stuck while reading the preferences during the start of the software.

Already tried to reset the preferences, but it doesn't work. Neither did it work to uninstall the whole creative cloud and re-install LR.

I have now even updated my OS and now I am operating on High Sierra.

Does anybody have any idea how to solve this issue?

Thanks

Michael

I am having a similar problem where Lightroom hasn't been starting for weeks. It just crashes on the splash screen.

I have uninstalled my entire CC and reinstalled Lightroom to the same issue. I've deleted everything related to lightroom preferences in my Library folders.

I haven't been able to open Lightroom for nearly a month now this is totally unacceptable. I found this topic (Re: Lightroom will not open(MAC OS Mojave) ) where they are having similar issues and Adobe you have not been helping us out at all. >:(

I deleted the file, rebooted my Macbook and opened LR with alt-shift pressed immediately after starting LR. Unfortunately, it doesn't help. Any other ideas?

I held shift+alt while launching LR. Then I was asked if I wish to reset the preferences and clicked "yes".

What happens when you manually delete the preference file?

Specifically what did you do to reset the preferences?
