Question

Lightroom Classic CC will not import images

All of a sudden this afternoon Lightroom stopped importing images on to my iMac. I insert my CF card in to the reader, click on import photos brings up the images on the card, click import and it goes to Copy and Import Photos but nothing imports. When I click the X to cancel it brings up a dialog saying " The following files were not imported because they cannot be read or the destination folder is not writeable. (1)"

I can import the images off the card into Photoshop and then save them to my desktop and drag and drop them into Lightroom. All worked fine a few hours ago. New Phenomenon

You’ve posted to a very old thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same issue which you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information including system information, a complete description of the problem and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

In the unlikely event the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.

    Thank you!

Check/confirm the read/write permissions on the destination folder where you are trying to import the images. Sorry, but I'm not at all familiar with the Mac.
