lightroom classic cc won't recognize my external drive..

I have all these photos and can't see them in lightroom

    Hi Doughbwoy,

    Please restart Lightroom and connect the external hard drive to another USB port and check if that helps? Also, create a new catalog in Lightroom classic cc and try importing images into Lightroom.

    Mac or Windows? Which version?

    If Windows, did the drive letter change?

    What is the exact wording of any error message you are getting?

    windows.  LR won't recognize H drive
