Question

Lightroom Classic crashes or freezes at ~15% when exporting slideshows

This problem hasn't been resolved for years. Can anyone help me? My patience with Adobe is running out. It seems like a very serious problem. Every time I launch export, Lightroom Classic gets stuck at about 15%.

    Hi @francescor34253227

Sorry you're running into this. Let’s try to narrow it down. Could you provide a few more details?

    • System Info from Lightroom's Help Menu (Help > System Info > Copy, Paste it here)

    • Whether the slideshow uses video clips or only photos.

    • The export format and resolution you're choosing.

    • Whether this happens with all slideshows or just one specific catalog/project.

Also, please let us know whether you’ve tried exporting a very small test slideshow (2–3 images) and whether it still stops around 15%. These details will help us understand the issue and help you accordingly.

    Regards,

    Srishti

    Hi Srishti,

    thanks for answering me.

    • I use only photos
    • 1080 p (16:9), but I try also 720p
    • File format .mp4
    • It happens with all slideshows (with music, without music, with 5 photos or 150 photos). It always gets stuck in the same place (at about 10%)
    • Below are my system data

    Please help me… :o(

Thanks, @francescor34253227, for sharing the additional info. Here are a few things you can try:

    1. Create a new test catalog on the internal drive and check if it helps.
    2. Disable any 3rd-party plugin when you use the new test catalog.
    3. Make sure Lightroom has Full Disk access:
    4. Try using Lightroom Classic in Rosetta mode on Apple Silicon and check how it goes. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102527

Let me know how it goes.
    Thanks!
