Lightroom Classic crasht constant

Lightroom crasht soms na een minuut, meestal na ongeveer een kwartier. Melding: te weinig appgeheugen (op de iMac is dan meer dan 90 Gb in gebruik door Lightroom, op de MacBook Air meer dan 40 Gb, op beide is meer dan 100 Gb vrije schijfruimte). Ik heb de GPU uitgezet, de database naar een snelle SSD (2 Tb) gezet, het previews bestand gedeleted en ook op de SSD gezet, de cache idem (en deze vergroot naar 200 Gb), niets helpt. iMac: 2 jaar oud, M3 met 16 Gb RAM. Database heeft meer dan 35.000 foto’s; is dat wellicht het probleem?? Help mij a.u.b., dit is onwerkbaar. Groet Jos Lemaire.

Hi, thanks for your replies. On my iMac I currently have 115 Gb free disk space (of 256 Gb in total), it seems to me that Lightroom slowly consumes all the free space, even though I moved the cache and the total database to a external SSD. After about 15 minutes of developing it pauzes, it don’t act anymore and the only way too stop is to force a stop. Message in Dutch:

Or: there is no more app memory available. On the iMac it is usually around 95 Gb, on the MacBook Air it’s around 40 Gb (see example). I hope you van help me!! Thank you, Jos.

You have jumped from talking about memory to talking about disk space, so I don’t understand. Please quote the exact unedited complete error message, even if it is not in English.

35,000 images is not the problem.

Please use the menu command Help->System Info in Lightroom Classic and paste the results in your reply; or paste the results into a text file and then attach the text file to your reply.

Force quit apps

There is no more app memory available on your system.
Stop all apps you are not currently using to prevent problems with the computer.

This is a memory issue, not a disk issue. It is very confusing and irrelevant to talk about disks or what files are on which disk or how much space is left on your disks.

There have been many discussions in this forum about Lightroom Classic having memory leaks. I generally do not read those discussions, so I do not know if a solution has been found. I would suggest you do a search of this forum and then read these discussions for yourself.
