Lightroom Classic - Develop module sliders reset for reference photo after auto-sync adjustments.

I am a longtime lightroom classic user.  Seem to have this irritating issue.

- develop module

- auto sync is ON

- select a handful of photos

- first photo in batch is the reference photo

- make a variety of adjustments

- randomly the reference photo resets the sliders to zero AND the values to the right of the sliders disappear.  see photo

- HISTORY for the photo is still intact BUT sliders are reset???

Adobe support hung up on me after doing initial steps

- optimzed catalog

- reset to factory defaults

- reset preferences

- reinstalled the app.

PROBLEM PERSISTS.

It is now Aug 2024 and this still happens to me daily????   Anyone have an idea on what triggers LRC to do this?

What are the multiple settings?

I would assume you applied a preset, or perhaps a plug-in, or perhaps a copy then paste Develop  Setting.

If you click on the History step, just below Multiple Settings, does that Exposure revert back (should)?

And, nope, I do not see anyway to just click on Multiple Settings to see what they are

this issue happens randomly as well.  What is "multiple settings"?  You can see the image has adjustments but everything is zero'ed out.

In the History Panel, that state "Multiple Settings" is presented when you sync from another photo, or from develop settings where multiple settings are involved. Say in the image you sync from, you modified exposure, White Balance, the mid tones, color grading, and a few other items. Then you sync all that into other photos. The resultant state in the History panel just states Multiple Settings, you do not get all those settings listed one after another.

In the case you present, perhaps the develop settings in the source were Reset. Perhaps you clicked on Reset, maybe applied the general preset Zeroed, maybe undid the Treatment, and bang, no settings tweaked.

This indicates a sync occurred. on purpose or by user accident.

P.S. a article on the History panel, your issue not included, but perhaps helpful:

By the way, in that History Panel, click on the state just below that Multiple Settings, and you are back to before that unfortuante occurance.

What occurs if you purge the Camera RAW CACHE?

Hi there....

After some initial and cursory troubleshooting, the Adobe support agent hung up on me AND CLOSED THE TICKET!   Just because they can't solve the issue, they consider it closed??  I'm confused.
