Lightroom Classic doesn't open

Sorry you're running into this. First, could you please check whether you're running the latest version of Lightroom Classic, 15.5? If not, please update and see if the issue persists. If it still won't launch, could you let us know:

• Are you using Windows or macOS?
• What happens when you try to launch Lightroom Classic? Does the icon briefly appear and disappear, do you get an error message, or does nothing happen at all?
• Are you able to launch Lightroom Classic while holding the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (macOS) to bring up the catalog selection dialog?
• Also, please share a screen recording from the moment you click the Lightroom Classic icon until the issue occurs.

That information will help us narrow down the cause and determine the next steps.

Some people have reported that if just let Lightroom Classic run for hours, it does open and then after that launching the program takes a reasonable/normal amount of time.

PLEASE DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

You need to give more information (and posted in the wrong forum). We need to know your computer hardware specs, the OS (Mac or Windows), the version of the OS and the version of Lightroom Classic. We also need to know what exactly happens when you try to launch Lightroom Classic.
