Lightroom Classic edit in Photoshop cc crashes Photoshop cc and more

Selecting edit in photoshop cc crashes photoshop cc 2018.  On closing Photoshop cc and sending the crash report; Lightroom classic then crashes in that the film strip goes white.   OK, obviously this may be a video card issue.  I have the latest drivers and while Photoshop has always worked with this card itself; it is a Quadro M2000 that Lightroom has never worked with and ADOBE DOES KNOW THOSE ISSUES EXIST, but seem to care not to fix it.  My previous answer from them after I spent $400 for a card that met their general specifications was in a snotty way, get a new video card.  Previously the first time I would send a photo to photoshop sometimes Photoshop would disable the driver, but closing down and trying again the GPU could be used in Photoshop as usual.

I know the issue is related to Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, because it never happens when just using Photoshop and such issues are why I have been using Lightroom for cataloging only.  There are far better options (including camera raw and third party) for processing raw files anyway.  Let me clarify, the disabling of using the GPU in Lightroom has always mostly worked; now it does not.  Also saying the issue is related to Lightroom and Lightroom classic, does not necessarily mean the issue is video related, I am stating only the evidence points that way.

If the problem cannot be fixed or Adobe is still hell bent on not fixing Quadro card issues in Lightroom (yes, I know some Quadro cards work, but many do not), then can somebody give me a way to revert back to the previous version of Lightroom without causing more problems.  The alternative is to abandon Lightroom, which in many ways seems to be what Adobe is doing.  As noted better alternatives exist.

My apologies if I missed a post on this issue and it has been answered

    Hi steveH,

We are really sorry for all the trouble caused you. You can reinstall the previous version of Lightroom via creative cloud desktop app, refer the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/h1axp3

Also, please Lightroom Classic CC for 7.0.1 update and check if that helps.

    Regards,

    Mohit
