Lightroom Classic Error "An error prevented LRC from opening catalog.

Hello, I am running Win 11 and I am having a problem opening LRC, I get the error message an error prevented LRC from opening a catalog.  I am able to open Lightroom without a problem, it is just LRC.  I have already tried going to .lrcat-data folder and removing CURRENT, it did work.   Can someone share easy step by step instructions on how to fix please?  TY

    I found my own answer, I pressed the ALT key whichle opening LRC at the same time and created a new CURRENT file.

      Neither of these solutions worked for me, but I recovered the catalog by opening a new catalog, and importing from the one that LR wouldn't open directly. It was extremely slow, but worked perfectly, with no apparent loss of edits.
