Lightroom classic failure to open in photoshop

Working on my desktop. Both apps are up to date. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried previous versions. I checked photo locations. Images that worked yesterday will not today. All adobe choices are grayed out. So frustrating as now I can't stack my macros.

    Okay. I uninstalled and reinstalled PS again. Thankfully that seemed to correct the issue.

    What happens when you try to edit in Photoshop? Do you get an error message? Please describe in detail.

    All adobe choices are grayed out where exactly? Do you mean Photo menu > Edit in ?

    And what do you see in Edit > Preferences > External editing?

    Hi

    As I am in Lightroom classic my *right click edit* and my *drop down edit in* does not have anything but "edit in another application" available. The rest are grayed out. If I am in photoshop I can access images out of lightroom , but not my stacks, they only load top pic. Under preferences external editing it says "photoshop version:" and the box is empty and grayed out.
