Lightroom Classic for Mac crashing on launch

I have not opened Lightroom Classic on my Mac recently--not since it was updated to v13.0.1--and today when I attemtped to open it, to export some JPEGs from RAW files, it crashed immediately.

I think this is the relevant info (with a unique folder name removed and replaced by <...>):

Termination Reason: Namespace DYLD, Code 1 Library missing
Library not loaded: @6878337_path/../Frameworks/ahclient.framework/Versions/A/ahclient
Referenced from: <...> /Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Lightroom Classic
Reason: tried: '/Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/ahclient.framework/Versions/A/ahclient' (code signature invalid in <...> '/Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/ahclient.framework/Versions/A/ahclient' (errno=1) sliceOffset=0x000A0000, codeBlobOffset=0x0008B200, codeBlobSize=0x00004220), '/System/Library/Frameworks/ahclient.framework/Versions/A/ahclient' (no such file, not in dyld cache)
(terminated at launch; ignore backtrace)

Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Correct answer rhp1970

I ended up using the "other versions" option to revert to 13.0 from 13.0.1 and now it works again.

Thanks for the suggestion, @Rikk Flohr: Photography , that is what made me think of this because it other versions is in the <...> menu in the Creative Cloud interface.

It is likely that it was the reinstall that cured it not the version you reinstalled. Given the known issue for people who downloaded 13.0.1 due to a server issue. Reinstall of 13.0.1 would likely work as well.

My symptoms were identical to the original poster's.  I reinstalled 13.0.1 and the problem was indeed fixed.  Thank you.

Yes.

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

Close Lightroom

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom

Restart the computer

Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.

Launch Lightroom

Wait 5 minutes
