Lightroom Classic freezes when trying to edit pictures

When I open Lightroom Classic it starts on one picture (as usual) and I can usually edit that one, and sometimes some others as well. But what's weird is that for some reason it suddenly stops working when picking a new picture to edit and the program freezes. I can't to anything, the *mouse* is just a loading wheel and I can't even shut down the program so I have to force it to shut down through the mac menu...

I tried to get help here and having someone from adobe controlling my conputer. I thought it worked at first after she/he helped me, but now it's the same problem again...
