Lightroom Classic gets stuck while importing

I am on MAc, I have attemtped on both my laptop and my desk top. Before anyone says to restart or uninstall and reinstall, I have tried all of that.

I am trying to import a new set of images and lightroom classic is getting stuck once I hit import.. It will just say that its importing for hours without ever loading. Then I will cancel and have to force quit the app to get out. I need help. Photographer is my full time business and I have galleries due. This just started this morning. 

Also yes I am fully updated and I have tried making a new catalog.
