Lightroom Classic hangs when importing

Since today, when I try to import photos into Lightroom Classic it just hangs.

There is 2TB of free space on the destination disk, and 1TB free on the disk I am importing from.

When I view Windows task manager, I see a process Adobe Crash Processor.

I restarted the Windows 10 desktop, and then restarted and tied again.

Same problem, Lightroom just hangs.

I waited one hour.  Still hanging.

I stopped the process Adobe Crash Processor but it is still hanging.

I selected only 1 photo to import, and same problem.

Does anybody know what the problem is, or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Are there videos in the import? If so, please try removing the videos and import just the photos.

Thanks so much dj_paige!

Firstly for your very prompt reply... less than 1 minute 😉

And more importantly,  your suggestion worked.

There were approx 40 cr3 files to import, but also 1 mp4 file in the same folder.

I removed the mp4 file and the import worked fine.

Happy New Year.

Best Wishes,

Dave
