Lightroom Classic Jan 2023 Status of .trashed files

I use LR Classic, ver 12.1 on WIN10. and have navigated through updates for 10+ years. I sync folders in LR to bring in files that have been moved to the PC via MyPhoneExlorer which I also have used for 10+ years. After syncing I am getting .trashed files which are obviously deleted on my Android v12 OnePlus 7 Pro mobile. I do not use LR mobile.
Should I just delete .trashed files or can they provide me a way to restore files, in the occasion when I innadvetantly delete a file from disk. If they can be saved and made useful, do I create a deleted files folder in my catalog and place them there becasue this is not done automatically, apparantly?
