Lightroom Classic keeps freezing and not responding

Since I updated my Lightroom a few days ago, it keeps freezing and saying that it is not responding. Is this an issue with the new update? Can I get help with this? I have other photographer friends who are having the same issue with the new update.

I am having the same issue. Adobe Lightroom Classic locks up my computer. Ctr Alt Delete does not work the only solution is to turn off the computer and reboot.

This thread is really old and probably not helpful to your cause.

Your best bet is probably to create a new thread and describe your problem in great detail.

 

Mac or Windows? Which exact OS version?

Which exact version of Lightroom?

What are the hardware specs of your computer?

Does the hang seem random, or are your often doing the same task when it hangs?

I have just done the latest update Nov 2019 & since then I have experienced not only lightroom freezing when I go to export files but I can't even force quit or quit. Has anyone been able to rectify this problem? I have to turn off my computer to do anything on my computer when this happens.

This is happening to me as well. I can't even work anymore. The mobile app works better than my window's lightroom CC software 😞 I'm so frusturated. Yes, I already reverted to 7.2 but this is a work-around not a fix/solution!

You didn't ask for a "fix/solution", and furthermore, we are just other Adobe users here in this forum, we are not Adobe, we cannot fix anything.

I have the same problem!

I use Win 10 Pro x64 v10.0.16299 Build 16299 and Lightroom Classic CC 7.3

It freezes constantly after the update!

Could you please state the exact version NUMBER of your Lightroom? We need the version NUMBER, and not words like "current" or "up-to-date".

The first you can try is to deactivate the GPU support.

I disabled my GPU and it still froze.

I am running Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.16299
Also running LR Classic CC, Version 7.3
