Lightroom Classic keeps quitting after launch

Question

I've updated my iOS to Monteray, reinstalled lightroom classic (multiple times) and restarted my computer multiple times.  I'm still getting a message that reads: "Sorry, Lightroom Classic has encountered an error and needs to close."  Any ideas on how to fix?

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
