Lightroom Classic - masks: Basic /light slider panel no longer available

A sudden glitch in my Lightroom Classic v 14.2. When I create a new mask, of whatever type - sky, subject, gradient etc. -the basic panel for exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows etc. - is no longer available. I can only see tone, color, effects etc.   The main basic panel for global use is available below the above-mentioned masking panels.  See screenshot attached

How can I get the masking basic panel back?
