Hi @angela_1815,

Thanks for reaching out. I completely understand how confusing and frustrating it can be when your C: drive keeps filling up even after you move Lightroom Classic to another drive. Let’s see if we can sort this out together.

• One common reason this happens is that Lightroom still keeps some important files, like preview data, on your C: drive even after the catalog has been moved. You can check the following folder on your system:

C:\Users\angel\Pictures\Lightroom

Inside, you might find files or folders such as “Lightroom Catalog Previews.lrdata” or “Smart Previews.lrdata,” which can grow quite large. These files store thumbnail and smart preview data. If you’re no longer using this folder actively, they might just be leftovers from before the move.

• Another place Lightroom may still be using space is your settings folder:

C:\Users\angel\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom

• Also, double-check the D:\Photography\Lightroom folder where your new catalog is located to make sure all associated files (like previews) were moved there too. Sometimes only the .lrcat file gets moved, and the previews are left behind.

If you’re unsure what files are safe to delete, just let us know what files you’re seeing and their sizes, and we’ll gladly guide you further.

And just in case you want to review the steps for moving a Lightroom catalog, you can refer to this article:

We’re here to help and’ll ensure you get back the space you need!

There is nothing in the Pictures/Lightroom folder on my C drive. I even
looked for "hidden" files. Nothing.

Once in the C:/Users/angel/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom, there are 32
folders. Which one am I looking in?
Am I looking in /Lightroom OR /Lightroom CC?

Something is taking up a TON of room in my Temporary Folder on my C drive.
216GB. But I cant figure out what it is and when I use Windows to "clean
out" the temp files, nothing changes.

All this started 2 days ago when I imported images from an external hard
drive into Lightroom. I have since removed the files but the space did not
clear up.
Please help!

How did you do the move? What files did you move? Where are the photo files located?

Why do you think the extra space you'd like to free up has anything to do with LrC?
