Lightroom classic not fully loading on Mac with Sonoma 14.6.1

Question

Hello,When I open Lightroom classic on my MAC running Sonoma 14.6.1, the application loads and looks ok on first glance but the rainbow spinning wheel persists and the program does not fully load and thus is not usable.  I have restarted my computer a few times.  The application was updated by Adobe last week.  This is the first time I have used the application since the automatic update by Adobe.   I would appreciate any help with this problem.  Thank you,Jeff

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
