Question

Lightroom Classic not importing

Greetings!

I updated LR Classic to 15.2 a few days ago and am unable to import “new” panoramic photos that I create in a new subfolder within the folder structure. Additionally, I started a new batch/project that I imported after the upgrade. To start my project in LR, I first import the folder(s) and files and then start my editing tasks.

My workflow is to choose my series of photos in LR with which I want to create a panoramic photo in PS. I then pass them to PS using LR: Edit In> Merge to Panorama in Photoshop. The files are passed to PS and merged/edited/flattened to my satisfaction. I save the panorama in PS, but within the folder structure I create a new subfolder titled “Panoramas” with the very first panorama that I create for this new batch of photos/project in the PS save image dialogue box. I then create additional panoramic photos as I wish and store them in this Panoramas subfolder. This is the workflow that I’ve been using for years.

When I return to Lightroom, this time, I can’t import the new panorama. When I use the LR import command, I select the new “Panoramas” subfolder in the dialogue box and LR is telling me that there’s nothing to import. When I look at Finder (Mac OS, Tahoe 26.3), the Panoramas subfolder is present, as well as the new panoramic photo.

So, there’s the issue and I hope that there’s enough info for someone to recreate it and fix it, or tell me what I’m doing wrong.  ;)

One thought that I have is to delete from LR the project folder that I created and then reimport with the new Panoramas subfolder, or to create the Panoramas subfolder prior to the first import, but that’s a hassle and not the way that LR & PS have worked for me in the past.

Thank you for your consideration and support,

I figured it out! The problem was on my end (i.e., ME).

When I saved the panorama that I created in PS, I didn’t append it with .psd, so LR didn’t recognize.

    Problem solved. Never mind...
