Lightroom Classic not showing full path of photos in folder view after import

When I import photos into lightroom I want to import them organized as "subject/year/date/photo" So on import I create a subfolder "Subject" and import the photos by date. The problem is after import the subfolder does not show up in folder view so I have multiple 2023 folders. You can see in the attached images what the file path looks like on the import dialog and then what the folder view shows after import. How do I get it to show the full path?

Right click on the 2023 folder(s), and choose Show Parent folder. If all your "Subject" folders share the same parent, and you include that parent folder in your folder structure (by the same "Show parent" process), you should never have this problem again.

Thank you! It seems silly that this is the default behavior of Lightroom.
