Lightroom Classic not starting

Dear all, as suggested I'm starting a new discussion. This is my problem: when I try to launch LrC the start screen would flash up for a split second and nothing else happens. I can repeat this multiple times but the program will always do the same. I have tried the following suggested in other threads:

  1. Run the complete workaround for fixing the metrics.json bug
  2. Reverting to older versions of LrC
  3. Updated to LrC 12.3
  4. Run the Onyx maintenance program

Nothing has helped, I'm continuing to have the problem.

As indicated by @GoldingD these are my system settings:

  1. LrC version 12.3
  2. OS Ventura 13.3.1
  3. Graphics Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB
  4. RAM 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
  5. GPU 3,7 GHz Intel Core i5 with 6 cores
  6. AMD Radeon driver version 4.10.12.

I hope these details are enough to start a new discussion about my problem

2. Mac Studio with M1 Max and 64 gb or ram.

If it was not a lock file, then consider as a test, logging onto your computer using a different user account. If LrC starts, then see below:

See:

(ref 1): Troubleshoot unexpected behavior in specific user account | Adobe

Document referenced above includes possible solutions:

For MACOS

    3. Troubleshoot account-specific fonts.
    4. Delete account-specific Adobe cache files.
    5. Troubleshoot account-specific login items.
    6. Reset the access settings on the user account's Library folder.
    7. Repair the startup disk.
    8. Use a new user account.

For WIN OS

@GoldingD : thanks for these suggestions, I have worked through the list but nothing helped. The only one I could not execute was #7 as I have not found the repair disk. But anyway, after all the others being unsuccessful, I doubt this would have worked. I have now created another user account on my mac, LrC is working properly there. But needless to say this a very time-consuming nightmare to do as I have to switch constantly between the two accounts. Non of my presets and other settings was working in the new account, so I had to set it all up again. Who is going to redeem me for all this lost time? Is anyone at Adobe taking this serious? Any idea when the next release would come that probably fixes the issue?

Did your previous work in LrC, finish correctly? That is, did LrC close properly, or did it crash, or did you force quit?

Speaking to a lock file not deleted.

After using it the last time I shut down the computer as usual and did not use it for a few days. When I turned the computer on again, the whole problem started. In the meantime I have tried the lrcat.lock file issue (I had found it in another thread), but there is no such file. So I guess, this is not the issue. I have also tried what came up in the post of @NiklasHH using the terminal commands, but also insuccessful
