I cannot find the .Lock file. I have searched the whole drive where the applications are stored.

Look where the catalog is stored.

As I said I searched the whole drive and cannot find the lock file. That being said I have uninstalled all of the Adobe applications, trashed anything in /Users/[user name]/Pictures/Lightroom and rebooted. I have freshly installed only Lightroom Classic and it still will not start. The /Users/[user name]/Pictures/ folder is completely empty.

A 'catalogname.lrcat.lock' file does not make Lightroom crash, so stop searching for it because you are wasting your time. What it does is make Lightroom show an error message that the catalog is in use by another app, that's all.

And if neither of those two steps help, make sure you've granted LR Full Disk Access:

It can act behave quite wonky without it.

I have deleted the preferences and rebooted. Problem remains.

I followed the steps for giving LR full disk access, etc. Problem remains.

I cannot find the .Lock file. I have searched the whole drive where the applications are stored.

Try logging into another account (you may need to make one), still crashing?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting), still crashing?
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing?

From Adobe:

The .lock file will only be visible/accessible while LR is running. Should be seen in the same folder with your catalog etc.

Also, check the folder where your catalog is stored for a ".Lock" file. If you find one or more than one, delete ONLY that file and try launching LrC again.

If you are not sure where the catalog is located, search the entire drive where your application are installed.
