Lightroom Classic on Mac Studio M2 Ultra

Hello,

 

I purchased a Mac Studio M2 Ultra yesturday and installed all of my apps. Everything works other than Lightroom Classic and I am hoping someone can help me with this.

 

The Mac Studio is fully updated to the latest version running Ventura 13.4.1

 

I installed Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC from the Creative Cloud. CC works fine but Classic opens and only shows a grey screeen with the menu bar at the top. If I click anything like "create catalog" Lightroom Classic hangs and eventually needs to be force closed. I've tried the latest version of Classic and the previous version and both do the same thing (grey screen, cant do anything). Any ideas?

    The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

    Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

    Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

    Please provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
