Question

Lightroom Classic only syncs one way

Hey, everyone!

I already looked for a solution for this issue, went on reddit, but I can't seem to figure out what's wrong.

I have Lightroom Classic on my PC desktop (ver. 14.2 on Windows), and recently I got a laptop where I installed Lightroom CC (ver. 8.2 on Macbook Air).

I synced a collection in one of the catalogs of Classic, the idea was to be able to edit some things on the laptop while away from home. I usually use smart previews to edit, and then connect the HDD where the raws are to export. The collection synced perfectly to both Lightroom CC and the cloud (all the photos are there). If I make a change in Classic, the change happens both in CC and in the cloud, but if I try to edit something in CC, it just won't sync back in Classic. Basically, it appears syncing only works one way (from Classic to both CC and the cloud, and not the other way around).

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to enable something?

Thank you very much!

Hi, thanks for reaching out! Could you confirm if you see the changes you make to the images on your Mac on https://adobe.ly/42xezBA? Also, do you see any category to the left labeled Sync issues on Lightroom web?

Thanks,

Hey, thanks for your reply!

Yes, every change I make in the Lightroom Classic is updated in CC and the cloud, every change I make in the Mac (Lightroom CC) is update in the cloud, but not in Classic.

No sync issues anywhere.

You can also check Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4eF2E7u) and look for the Deleted Section. Emptying the deleted section has helped in the past. Before emptying theis tab, ensure you have backups for the images.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
