Question

Lightroom Classic Opacity of the layer mask

When I adjust the opacity of the layer mask overlay in Lightroom Classic, does that affect the amount of the effects? For example the mask overlay is set to 45%, so will my effect only be at 45% versus 100%?

Thanks

No. It's only an overlay.

The Amount slider has that effect.

Hey @waymond smith. This is a great question! I'll clarify this for you.

In the masking interface, the Masking overlay is a visual indicator of what areas are getting masked, i.e., effects are being applied.

Changing the opacity of the Masking Overlay changes the overlay's visibility, not the mask's effect.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
