Lightroom classic opens but is blank

Hello! I've been waiting quite a while for a chat agent to assist so I was hoping I could get help here.

I have a Macbook Pro, 16inch, 2019, Ventura 13.2
Lightroom Classic - version 12.1

When I open Lightroom Classic, it opens to the screenshot below. I cannot seem to access anything. I try to open a catalog and it creates a spinning wheel that never ends.

Steps I've taken:

  • uninstalled, reinstalled lightroom classic
  • restarted computer
  • signed out and back in to adobe account
  • reset preferences as per this article
  • waiting in a chat

I'm really not sure how to proceed anymore. Thank you for your help

Issue resolved by a tech using remote software to fix everything for me. It was something about incorrect permissions

What did you use to fix permissions (Disk Utility or something else?).
