Question

Lightroom Classic prints smaller than setup in Develop and Print/Cell Size.

In LrC I cropped in Develop and in Print/Cell Size set the same size. In a 11 X 14 it printed photo 1 - 1.5 inches too small. To eliminate printer I printed in Photoshop and got the right size photo but it was grossly dark. I don't know what to do next. Any help?

I have a Mac laptop and Epson 13 inch printer.

    I also print on an Epson printer. Switching to a different application doesn’t eliminate the printer as a variable, because each Mac application has its own print settings and can remember them separately. Also, Lightroom Classic and Photoshop set up their paper sizes and print areas independently from each other (using different printing code). For all of those reasons, it is easily possible to print the same image to the same printer and get different print areas from each application. To get the same print area from two applications, each application must be set consistently with each other.

     

    Printer driver software settings (Epson, in this case) are also separate from what is set in an application (Lightroom Classic or Photoshop). So you have to check those too and make the printer driver settings and application print settings are consistent.

     

    Are you printing 11 x 14 inches normally, or borderless?

     

    What is the paper size selected when you click the Page Setup button near the bottom left corner of the Print module? (This opens the settings in the Epson printer driver software.) And in Page Setup, is the Format For menu set to Any Printer, or your specific Epson printer?

     

    What is the Cell Size? Is it exactly 11 x 14 inches, or smaller?

    Above the Cell Size, what are the four Margin values?

    I use 13X19 and 8.5X11 paper(no borderless) and adjust for the print size I
    want and have set up in Lightroom Classic/Develop. After doing an update
    for Epson I got the correct size print in 8.5X11 but was off for 13X19
    paper. In Print/Margins the margins are set to the minimum. I check in
    Print the Page Setup/Print Settings on the left and Printer Settings on the
    right.In the Page Setup the setting is for my Epson printer. In the
    Print/Layout/Cell Size I adjust for the size print I set in Develope.
    Should I adjust the margins for my print size wanted? The minimum has
    always worked in the past.
