Hello, i have a problem with Lightroom classic (latest version) and the gpu use.

I installed Lightroom on a brand new HP Omen 16 Laptop (Win11 home, Ryzen 7 5800H, Radeon Rx 6600m, 16GB). With gpu enabled, lightroom crashes/lags in develop mode. The screen freezes except the loading circle. With gpu diasbled lightroom works fine, but sometimes i get a black screen (for about a second) on my external monitor (connected via hdmi, only when i run lightroom).

I followed the instructions from the gpu troubleshooting, nothing worked. As i mentioned, the laptop is brand new. I only installed Lightroom and Photoshop so far. Windows and the gpu driver got the latest Updates.

What else can i do to solve this problem? I want to use my gpu in lightroom.

Hello,

HP was not able to fix the issue. In the HP forum are some threads about
issues with the amd gpu. I returned the Laptop and switched to an device
with an nVidia gpu. Now everything works fine.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
