Lightroom Classic Quick Develop is grayed out

Suddenly the right panel of Lightroom Classic for Windows is grayed out (see screenshot). I looked at Troubleshoot issues with Develop module and tried each suggestion:

  • Restart your computer
  • Make sure your subscription is active
  • Sign out and then sign in again
  • Install the latest update
  • Reset hosts file

None of it worked. I've used Lightroom Classic casually for the past year, and I've never run into this before.

Any ideas?

Try resetting your preference file. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

@UT-CT

The Quick Develop is disabled because the selected photo is missing.

The photo you have selected is also missing. See the "[!] Photo is missing" status under the Histogram.

In your limited screen shot, I can also see part of a photo in the Library Grid and it too is marked as missing.

I'll try that. Thank you.

Update: This is happening on a new Collection. When I opened an older one, everything was fine. I don't think I did anything different on this one, but who knows? Does this narrow down the issue?
